YOU MUST BELiEAVE


Parents can only give good advice or put them on the right paths, but the final forming of a person's character lies in their own hands.
Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings
To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.
Action may not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness without action.
The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance -- it is the illusion of knowledge.
Moral excellence comes about as a result of habit. We become just by doing just acts, temperate by doing temperate acts, brave by doing brave acts.
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.
The beauty of the world has two edges, one of laughter, one of anguish, cutting the heart asunder.
Before you can inspire with emotion, you must be swamped with it yourself. Before you can move their tears, your own must flow. To convince them, you must yourself believe.
